VMAS services comprise the following areas:

Strategy and planning activities
We assist governments, energy authorities and large consumers of energy in development of strategies and plans for further activities in the field of energy efficiency – technically, financially as well as legally.

Energy audits and screenings
We carry out energy audits and energy screenings according to guidelines and methodologies in the most recognized standards as DS2403 (Denmark) and IS393 (Ireland). Our lead project managers are examined energy auditors and examined technical experts at highest level according to the Danish COâ‚‚-scheme.

Eco-design
Improved efficiency of new appliances is a cornerstone in EUs activities to increase energy efficiency. We are a key-player in development of standards and agreements in this area and are involved in a number of projects related to this area as well as the Energy Star-program in the US.

Assistance to Governments and Authorities
We assist governments and energy authorities in carrying out analysis of technical measures and development of measures and instruments in the field of energy efficiency.

Climate change and Kyoto mechanisms
We are involved in a number of projects related to climate change, first of all to support large consumers of energy in formulation of climate change strategies, secondly in identification and formulation of CDM-projects within energy saving, use of biomass and solar energy etc.

Information- and WEB-activities
Dissemination of information has been a cornerstone in promotion of energy efficiency in Denmark and VMAS has taken significant roles in implementation of pilot- and demonstration projects, formulation of information strategies and use of the internet for promotion activities.

Training and education
We have comprehensive activities within development of training courses in Denmark as well as. The training courses comprise technical sessions as well as more generic topics regarding methodologies and ways of working.

R&D
VMAS has comprehensive experience in implementation of research and development-projects in various areas. Specially we have participated in a significant number of pilot- and demonstration projects aiming at demonstrating benefits from new technologies and new ways of working.

Development assistance
Our senior project managers have significant experience from projects within development assistance in Egypt, Vietnam, Republic of South Africa, Eastern Europe, Mongolia, Mexico, The Baltics, China etc.. Our experiences comprise both identification and formulation of programs and projects and implementation of these.
