Industry
Industry has the greatest and most attractive potential for energy savings. We work extensively to realise this potential and are involved at both the general screening and analysis stages and also in individual energy reduction projects.
We carry out many of our projects on a business-wide basis, covering the whole spectrum of a business’s interests and infrastructure. Apart from energy we are also involved in capacity utilisation, other resource consumption, operational flexibility, etc.
Our competences within the Industry sector include:
- Energy check-ups and screening
- Technical analyses and decision-making fundamentals
- Energy-aware planning of new plant and equipment
- Cooperation with LEAN and Six Sigma organisations and ongoing improvements
- Sale of energy savings
- Clarification tasks
- Training
- Evaluation and verification of Environmental Management Systems (EMS)
Buildings
40% of energy is used in buildings. We are working to reduce this figure. Our clients range from public sector agencies to engineering consultancies involved in advising owners of buildings in the public and private sectors.
We are one of the partners behind the Information Service (Videncentret) for energy savings in buildings – an initiative launched by the Danish Energy Agency which will run until 2011.
In addition, we advise national, regional and local authorities, companies and private individuals on energy savings in buildings. We help organisations which have made Curve Breaker Agreements with the Danish Electricity Saving Trust to fulfil the requirements.
Our competences within the Buildings area include:
- Consumer research
- Energy action plans
- Energy labelling of buildings
- Product awareness of lighting, weather protection and boilers
- Understanding barriers and tools
- Financing options and opportunities
Climate
Greater and greater requirements are being imposed on companies and national and local authorities when it comes to sustainable development, particularly in 2009, when COP15 is being held in Copenhagen with the focus on global CO2 emissions.
We can help your organisation to build up a greener profile, which can be tailored in relation to customers, working partners or staff, and we will work with you to fulfil your emission requirements. Naturally, we match the energy saving profile to your particular circumstances and target groups.
We advise on all levels – everything from individual projects to the political system. Viegand & Maagøe's working practices are based on extensive technical expertise and knowledge of the associated processes and procedures.
Our working areas include:
- Carbon footprint/Climate account
We help companies to prepare their climate accounts. We advise throughout a project's lifecycle: From raw material processing and finishing in relation to production and transport, to the use and phasing-out of products. - Climate strategies
We develop and implement genuine and ambitious climate strategies that customers and staff can relate to. A green profile today is the equal of good marketing – whether in a company, local authority or an institution. - CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility)
We help companies to live up to their social responsibilities in relation to customers, staff and local communities, and advise on environmental awareness issues and sustainable development. - JI/CDM (Joint Implementation/Clean Development Mechanism)
We develop JI/CDM projects and partnership agreements which result in the purchase of CO2 credits. We monitor projects from start to finish, from the idea phase and preliminary dialogue to the issue of credits.
